Monday, March 2nd was Read Across America Day and Dr. Seuss' birthday, so every class participated in a Read-a-Thon. The students loved being able to come to school in their "jammies" and cuddle up to a good book. Students were able to increase their stamina when reading, which is something we strive to increase on a daily basis. We had guest readers dress up and read their favorite stories to classes. I made my way around the building and shared a recently published book titled, The Book With No Pictures. This book was published in October 2014 by a known actor and comedian, B.J. Novak. The students LOVED this book, and it was great to see them grow their love for reading! What a great way to share our love for reading together!
