This post will be short and sweet but I wanted to touch on the title of this post. The quote from Dr. Seuss is very powerful. Ask yourself this question, how often do you read to your child? Daily? Weekly? Monthly? Research has shown that the single most important thing a parent can do to help their child is read to them. Yes, it is that simple. Reading aloud lets parents and teachers be role models for reading. When children see adults excited about reading, they will catch their enthusiasm. If you have questions on types of books to read to your children, questions to ask, etc. please do not hesitate to ask me!
